"A Country Cousin Christmas" is the twenty-fifth and final episode in Season 5 of Raven's Home and one-hundred and fourth overall. It first aired on December 2, 2022 to 0.16 million viewers.

Plot

Alice's mom Betty Jane pays a surprise visit to the Baxter home for the holidays, but her insistence on celebrating things her way puts a damper on Raven's Christmas cheer. Meanwhile, Booker, Ivy and Neil help Victor with a charity event at the Chill Grill.

• On March 22, 2022, Raven-Symoné led the cast and crew of Raven's Home in walking off the set in protest of the "Don't Say Gay" bill passing in Florida.
• While this is the final episode to air in Season 5, the previous episode Bridge Over Troubled Daughter is the true season finale, plot-wise.
• Nia and Devon Carter were mentioned.
• Having visited the Baxter home before, Betty Jane should be aware there is no "swamp" to freeze over.
• Booker's "Christmas Cray," from the other RH Christmas episodes does not manifest.
• Booker opening his gift before Christmas and losing it is very similar to the plots of the other holiday episodes in the franchise, as with the implied intervention of Santa Claus at the end.

• In the original script:
  • Alice brings Tasha to show off the Christmas decorations and begins shaking the presents to determine their contents.
  • Raven catches her and reminds her of the Baxter tradition not to open presents until Christmas Day.
  • Betty Jane states Alice has been "citified" for calling her "mom" instead of "mama."
  • Betty Jane and Delroy use potato sacks instead of luggage.
  • Delroy claims to be beat, but Betty Jane says he slept through the entire trip.
  • Delroy jokes Betty Janes' disrespect will make her gifts vanish.
  • Hearing the word gift, Alice begins emptying the sacks looking for hers.
  • A large pair of boxers lands on Raven who tosses them away in disgust. Delroy states to be careful, as those are his best pair, and Raven retorts she will get him better ones for Christmas. Delroy recovers his underwear.
  • Alice discovers a gift that is for her, and Betty Jane tells her she can open it, but Raven insists it goes under the tree.
  • Delroy asks what tree, and Raven points to the artificial one already up.
  • Betty Jane states that is no Christmas tree, and Delroy deems the artificial object to be a "tin foil abomination."
  • Raven claims it is the same tree the Baxters have used since she was a little girl.
  • Betty Jane opines that it has not aged well, but Delroy quips that Raven and the tree have aged about the same.
  • Raven points out that no one asked Delroy that question.
  • Saying that since no one is showing them the way, Delroy has Betty Jane grab their sacks and head upstairs.
  • Saying this will be the best Christmas ever, Alice follows them upstairs.
  • Alone, Raven wonders if it is too late to ask Santa for a trip to Hawaii.
  • Ivy's Christmas story to the kids was about Santa moving his workshop to the North Pole to avoid being indicted for violating "Elf labor laws."
  • After the kids call for Santa, Ivy tells Booker and Neil she is "running out of steam and self-esteem."
  • Delroy runs past Booker after he pesters Santa Victor about the glaze.
  • Booker says he is a taller elf because he eats better and gets more sleep.
  • Lamar jokes that he never gets enough sleep and is actually thirty-seven.
  • Booker is slow to recognize that statement as a joke.
  • Lamar gets another five dollars before agreeing to the trade.
  • After Lamar shouts it is the best Christmas ever, Booker glumly adds for one of them.
  • Booker and Neil are seated with the holiday dinners in front of them, but Booker claims to be too upset to eat.
  • Neil commandeers Booker's plate, stating as a good friend, he will make sure the food gets a good home and begins eating both portions.
