- An image of the original Mr. Petracelli, (Ernie Sabella) is seen on the cover of his book, The Day I Oh, Snapped.
- The title of Mr. Petracelli's memoir, is a play on Raven Baxter's catchphrase, "Oh, Snap!"

- Elements of the following That's So Raven episodes were combined:
- Mother Dearest: Booker disguises himself when meeting Mr. Petrachelli, just like Raven disguised herself as her mother when meeting Mr. Petrachelli, who wanted to meet with Raven's parents (TSR).
- True Colors: Booker has daydreams of historical figures. as similarly, Cory dreamed of meeting black historical figures.
- Numb and Numb-er: Raven snuck behind the refrigerator door in both episodes. And Victor worked on filming a Commercial for the Chill Grill in both episodes.

- Pointing out that they are both adults, Raven addresses the original Mr. Petracelli by his first name, "Carl."
