Trivia[]
- This episode filmed on March 17-18, 2022.
- This episode was paired with The Villains of Valley View episode, Havoc-ween for a special Halloween-themed first Sunday in October premiere event.
- Neither show broke the top 150 cable programs for that day, thus the viewer ratings were not released.
- This is the first Raven's Home episode to air on a Sunday since the Season 3 finale, Level Up.
- This is also the first Raven's Home episode to have its own individual promo since the Season 4 Halloween episode, Don't Trust The G in Apt 4B.
- Ivy had Booker and Neil sign legal paperwork that they would not pause or rewind during their Halloween movie marathon of Deadly Dolls 1-7.
- Tasha implies that Alice sometimes takes her to Katherine Johnson Tech.
- Ivy, Alice, and Tasha referred to Katherine Johnson Tech as "Smarty-pants School."
- The title is a play on the traditional bedtime story, The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
- Nia is briefly mentioned by Booker and later calls Raven.
- Neil tells his Abuelita about the events of this episode in A Day Without Baxters.
- This is the fifth Halloween episode of the show, the first four being The Baxtercism of Levi Grayson, Switch-or-Treat, Creepin' It Real and Don't Trust The G in Apt 4B.
- The episode is a spiritual successor to the That's So Raven Halloween special, Don't Have a Cow, and shares several similarities to it.
- Alice finds the same spell book Raven and Chelsea found after Booker refuses to spend time with her, similar to how Raven and Chelsea came across it as they looked through Vivian's chest because Alana refused to invite them to her Halloween party.
- Both the wishing spell Raven and Chelsea used, and the doll enchantment spell Alice used required a strand of hair and for the caster to begin the spell with, "Bubble and boil, oh magic stew."
- Raven and Chelsea accidentally turned themselves into cows with their spell, while Alice would have turned into a doll if she failed to turn Tasha back into one by bedtime. Both transformations were ultimately prevented by Raven (though in Raven and Chelsea's case, she would've failed to stop them from becoming cows had she not had a vision of it happening).
- The subplot features a costume contest at the Chill Grill, which was also featured at Alana's Halloween party. Both feature Raven's costume winning, albeit with a twist (Raven completely transforming into a cow in the original and Victor donning Raven's costume in this episode).
- Both episodes had Raven's costume centered on an animal and she behaves/sounds like said animal (cow and werewolf respectively).
- The major difference between these two episodes is that the Don't Have a Cow plot was actually a long vision where Raven and Chelsea accidentally ate each other's burgers (As Chelsea's overreaction to eating meat interfered with their spellcasting, so Raven prevented their burgers from being switched to stop them from turning into cows) while the plot of Tasha the living doll really happened.
- Victor's long-time culinary rival Leonard Stevenson returns, who was last seen in the That's So Raven episode, The Grill Next Door. With Victor away in DC, apparently Leonard Stevenson was able to reopen The Hill Grill.
- Leonard Stevenson becomes the seventh character to appear in both That's So Raven and Raven's Home following Raven Baxter, Chelsea Grayson, Devon Carter, Dr. Sleevemore, Victor Baxter and Alana Rivera.
- James McCauley becomes the thirteenth performer to appear in both That's So Raven and Raven's Home following Raven-Symoné, Anneliese van der Pol, Jonathan McDaniel, Brian George, Rondell Sheridan, Staci Lynn Fletcher, Mindy Sterling, Shania Accius, Christopher T. Wood, Peggy Blow, Adrienne Eliza Houghton and Samm Levine.
- Additionally, James McCauley has appeared as "Naval Captain Mills" in the K.C. Undercover episode Out of the Water and Into the Fire.
- In the original script:
- Alice said if Tasha became real, she wouldn't have to sleep on the shelf anymore.
- Alice pulls a hair from her own head to add to the potion.
- Tasha said "Boo" because although she knew she wasn't a ghost, dolls don't have a "fun scary word."
- Tasha insists that she has always been real, only now she can move her own limbs.
- Tasha wore a matching Mad Scientist costume with Alice.
- It was Tasha's idea to bring along face masks so they could hit houses twice.
- Tasha asks what the water coming off her skin is.
- After Alice identifies it as sweat, Tasha says she can wait to brag to Alice's "Polly Pees Herself" doll that she can produce bodily fluids.
- After Tasha has run off, Alice mutters to herself that is why people chip their dolls.
- After laughing at Booker for being spooked by the skeleton, Ivy apologizes because she knows they don't have time for that before Alice becomes a doll.
- Tasha spreads out a bag of marbles by the front door.
- Raven enters in the werewolf costume, slips on the marbles, hits the side table, and howls.
- The kids then enter from the kitchen, and Alice says it is a full moon outside.
- Tasha hears Alice proclaim that Werewolves love to feed on human flesh.
- Raven wants help out of the costume, claiming it is as tight as a pair of Victor's bike shorts.
- Booker states that is an image he does not want in his head.
- Raven tells Booker to find her some scissors.
- The Host had a line of the contest being over, and the votes being tallied.
- Leonard Stevenson had to endure watching Victor dancing after winning the costume contest.
- Booker states that is another image he does not want in his head.
- Alice removes Tasha from her box (both are wearing matching pjs) saying she hopes the doll has learned her lesson.
- Alice the puts on goggles and produces a blowtorch but tells Tasha it is not for her.
- Alice grabs the magic book, but then agrees with Tasha that she might need it again someday.
- Alice puts the book back in "Grandma Viv's" trunk, telling Tasha the world isn't ready for the two of them.
